Veterinary Eye Center is continuing to operate during the pandemic with procedures following CDC guidelines. We are accepting new patients with urgent and complex eye problems by referral only, and for established patients with ongoing care needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have modified our business hours. We are a locally owned and operated business in Austin, Texas that was founded in 2006.
Dr. Audrey Yu-Speight was awarded the 2021 Veterinary Medical Specialist of the Year by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association! She is a board-certified
We're evolving our procedures with a new Client Portal and Online Pharmacy for Home Delivery, and electronic form submissions. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Telemedicine is an option for certain patients as well. We are also using new electronic invoicing with Square for payment security.
We work closely with our clients, their pets and their referring veterinarians to manage their ocular problems. We believe that communication and education are essential to our goals. Our goals are to:
1) Preserve vision
Our group offers full-time services, and we are open four business days per week for phone calls, appointment scheduling and medication refills. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of veterinary eye care with state-of-the-art technology and services for a variety of animal species. We value teamwork and trust with our clients, and we always work diligently to provide exceptional and appropriate care for all of our patients.
Veterinary Eye Center donates thousands of dollars worth of free eye exams for working service animals as a part of the ACVO National Service Animal Eye Exam Event. KXAN covered our community outreach work for the Austin Police Mounted Patrol on the 10pm news on June 8, 2015 and on their website. The Service Animal Eye Exam Event has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is expected to resume in 2022.
